Policies

The Federal Trade Commission has a set of guidelines for bloggers pertaining to the endorsement of products.  I must always disclose if I have received compensation for a post.  In some cases I, the reviewer, purchased the product.  Other times I may review a product that was provided to me by the company that produces that product.  Either way, it is always my policy to give the product an honest and thorough review to the best of my knowledge and ability. In the case of a product giveaway the product will be shipped directly to the winner and is not the responsibility of Marvelously Frugal.

To Generous Producers of Products:

It is my goal to bring the best, brightest, and boldest natural and family friendly products to my readers. 

Here are some of the benefits your company receives with a product review by Marvelously Frugal:

• A blog post on Marvelously Frugal detailing your product and all of its great features.

• Pictures of family/friends enjoying the product.

• Links to your product's website and any social media sites you may use.

• The promise that the product reviewer is a mother/grandmother who understands the value of natural products and their important place in the family.

In order for me to properly and thoroughly complete a review of your product these are my current terms for review: 

• I must receive and possess a full size product before I can write a review.

• I will not review items that I need to return to the company.

• Depending on the product I may need more or less time to use the product in order to give it a good review, please let me know if you have a specific window of time in which you need the review completed.

• Should a review be negative, I will contact you prior to posting the review to discuss the situation. I only post about products I believe in and if I am dissatisfied for any reason, I will be in contact.

• In order for your company to receive the most buzz about your product I highly recommend participating in a giveaway with Marvelously Frugal.  Giveaways with product review excite buyers and encourage them to buy and try your company's products!  

Giveaways with review on Marvelously Frugal include:

• A full product review post on Marvelously Frugal

• Photos of product in use

• Links to your product's website and social media sites

• New followers on your social media sites (requirement of entry into giveaway)

• Tweets and Facebook updates detailing and promoting the giveaway.

My current terms for product giveaways are:

• In order for me to include a review with the giveaway, I must receive the product (see review terms above). I will not giveaway products that I have not used myself.

• Giveaways at Marvelously Frugal generally run for 2 weeks although the length can be negotiated to meet the needs of the sponsor. 

• After the giveaway has ended, the winner’s information will be provided to the sponsor, and the sponsor will be responsible for shipping the prize.. Please do not mail the giveaway prize to us along with the review product. If the giveaway product is sent to us, we will not be responsible for shipping it to the winner or shipping it back to the sponsor.

• If necessary Marvelously Frugal will restrict entry to US only participants.

• Giveaway winners are chosen by an online Giveaway Tools platform or Rafflecopter. Entrants may receive bonus entries for liking Marvelously Frugal on facebook, following on twitter, etc. depending on the nature of the giveaway. These bonus entries are strictly at the discretion of Marvelously Frugal, but open to any participants.

• Per Facebook Promotion Guidelines, we cannot ask the reader to take an action on Facebook for an entry. Liking your page is okay. Actions on the wall will not be used for additional entry options.

• Per Google+ Terms of Service, adding Google+ pages to circles cannot be included as a giveaway entry option.

• Purchases for bonus entries will not be allowed as they violate FTC regulations.
